A studio dedicated to the essential

Automatico Studio is an indipendent Swiss based design consultancy, working internationally since 2007. Automatico applies a conceptual methodology to the design of: visual identities, wayfinding and exhibition design, with rich expertise in the fields of architecture, product design, modern and contemporary art. The solutions and output are always clear, sharp and distinct. Automatico Studio helps to define a clear positioning and develop a unique and compelling strategy. The studio was established by Demian Conrad, who is AGI member and teacher at HEAD-Genève (University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Geneva). Demian Conrad headed a reseach project on creative coding supported by the HES-SO fund.

Some of our long-term collaborations include campaigns for EPFL (Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology), exhibition design for Grand Palais de Paris, editorial design for Espazium publishing, visual identity for Art Basel and corporate design for Zarattini Bank.

Emptiness, lightness and proportion are an intrinsic part of the studio’s visual language. Automatico safeguards the elegant and essential, believing that less can be more. The studio achieves beauty through a functional and honest approach. Geometric truths and mastery of swiss typography are employed to achieve a simple but poetic solution. The studio is always in the quest of the sublime.
